The World of Warcraft (WoW) is a game that has become so popular that it now manages to get you addicted and spend all your time in that world. It's a wonderful game to play and has many things in store for the player, but sadly it can also be one of the most complicated games to use in the whole gaming world. That's why there is the possibility to use some free and open source software (FOSS) to make your World of Warcraft experience much easier. And the best part is that the majority of the time you can even use this software to play on any operating system without any problems at all.
First you will need to download and install the application, which will usually be called the launcher. This is needed to let you start the game, and is very easy to find on the website. Once you have it installed, go ahead and give it a try by clicking on the game logo at the top left corner of the screen. From here you can choose which character you want to play as. The next step will be to type in your login information, this is used by the game to determine if you are logged in.
The application is already set up to allow you to run the game with all its default settings. It should be noted that if you want to start a character of higher level than the one you are currently playing you will have to use the game's single player mode. This is used to help give you an idea of what you're getting yourself into before you proceed.
